The Bagua

Many schools of Feng Shui use a Bagua as a compass. Ba means 8 (the luckiest number in China) and Gua is area. The Bagua is used to chart energy or Qi.

Lay the Bagua over the house or room, keyed off the door. When we place the appropriate color in its position, it gives more power or emphasis to that area of our life. Each of us must clarify our own color system. Identify our cultural and belief system's symbolic meanings, and notice how these colors affect us personally. Once we achieve clarity about our relationship with color, our choices on a daily basis will be more comfortable and color decisions made quicker. Color or lack of color affects each one of us.         from Tafi

The Bagua is also known as the Luoshu or the Magic Square of Three. Any diagonal, vertical, or horizontal line adds up to 15.
